University dormitory
Ask your university's international office first. Places for exchange students are limited and applications usually close months before the semester.
기숙사
Goshiwon (tiny furnished room)
Usually no deposit and month-to-month, often around ₩300,000–450,000 a month. Rooms are very small and quality varies — visit before paying. Good for your first month while you look around.
고시원
One-room / officetel (studio)
More space and privacy, but usually a deposit of several million won, monthly rent plus fees, and a contract in Korean. Use a licensed agent (공인중개사), check the property register before paying the deposit, and register your address after moving in.
공인중개사
Short-term furnished stays
Monthly stays on Airbnb or furnished-rental services for foreigners cost more per month but need no deposit or Korean phone — useful for one semester.
